Embodied Sexuality Integration

Well-trained therapists are able to create conversations about any area of a person’s life, and then develop multiple action plans to achieve concrete changes or results. Joining the Embodied Sexuality egregore is an invitation to this depth within sexuality, dealing with it in a multidisciplinary, integrated, free, trauma-centered, responsible, and conscious way.

How did Embodied Sexuality Integration come about?

For almost a decade as a student, therapist, and teacher, I have journeyed to discover the core tools of healing and body discovery, our most precious temple, capable of providing immense pleasures often condemned and sabotaged, as they release a unique energy that liberates us from conditioning and makes us masters of ourselves.

I began this journey within neo-tantric schools where I experimented extensively, but lacked a theoretical foundation. “Why does this work?” I asked myself, and I had no answer.

I delved into Somatic Sexology, which provided many of the “whys” within a neuro-somatic and trauma-centered, but not energetic, approach.

Then I explored the paths of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism, understanding the science of meridians and how chi behaves in our bodies, first understanding the physical bodies, but later seeking in magnetism, in therapies that utilize kundalini energy, and in QiGong the keys to also treat the subtle fields of the soul.

I began working holistically, focusing on balancing duality in order to evolve sustainably and healthily, learning how energy flows in each person’s body and transforming the dense energy stemming from repressed emotions. I helped individuals find these blockages so they can become aware of them and learn to heal holistically, creating physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual alignment.

My approach to therapy has evolved, reaching a level of depth that transcends what is understood as “Tantric Therapy,” resulting in intense and transformative sustainable emotional and physical outcomes. Those who have participated in my training programs have experienced this firsthand.

Realizing that this work was indeed different and that my students’ work has stood out as something more, I felt the need to create a proper name for this new therapeutic style, which brings together all my knowledge from various places into one, taking somatic therapy to a place of quality, depth, and ethics, thus positioning it as a valid alternative complementary therapy to psychology: The Embodied Sexuality Integration Training, making the therapists trained with me known as Embodied Sexuality Integration Therapists, and my training the gateway to an unparalleled deepening within the therapeutic process of sexuality.

Bringing integrity to working with sexuality.

Embodied Sexuality Integration (ESI) opens a new paradigm for sexual and emotional education and awareness.

I believe in (and can attest to) the transformative power that integrated practices between body, mind, and energy can bring to heal, give new meaning to, and bring more pleasure to the body and life of everyone in a profound way.

However, we must understand the potential risks of therapists lacking relevant knowledge or who are not open to working with themselves, potentially causing retraumatization or more harm than good to their clients.

The mission here is very clear: To bring more integrity to the field.

Integrity = When I think, act, feel, and speak coherently.

TIESC

Science: In both the TIESC training and specializations, there is a fundamental concern to provide a basic understanding of each process and experience so that you can clearly know how and when to use each tool you will learn.

Here, there are no guessworks, no “it works because it works,” or, for example, “energy activation” without even explaining how the movement and energy activation occur. At ESI, we believe in the contribution of science in various disciplines, whether in psychology, neuroscience, or sexology. We use insights, models, and techniques created in these fields as tools that provide the necessary structure and security so that our participants can be guided in their most authentic expression.

The 3 pillars of the training process.

Experimentation: The deeper you immerse yourself in experiences, the deeper you can take your clients.

That’s why I don’t believe in courses that include somatic practices and therapeutic touch 100% online. There are several schools and systems out there, many with easy access and very attractive prices. But within the training process, whether to become a therapist or for personal transformation, what matters most is your experience. Only then will you have clarity about your path, understand what works for you and what doesn’t, and what is aligned or not with your truth and your self-sabotaging mechanisms and limiting beliefs. Only then can someone become a therapist confident in their work and integrated with their truth to share it with the world.

Philosophy of Tantra and Taoism: ESI is not a process of “tantric” teachings, and we wouldn’t have the time to do so with the respect and depth that such a lineage deserves.

However, the foundations of ESI are based not only on tantric but also on Taoist principles. For example, the non-dual perspective, the energetic system of polarities, chakras, subtle bodies and meridians, principles of correspondence, and the recognition of sexual energy as the life force are part of the philosophical basis of Embodied Sexuality Integration.

Therefore, during the training, there is always a concern to give you not only a solid theoretical foundation, but also the possibility of experiencing these principles in your own body, so that you can apply them in both your personal and professional life.

Learning to provide personalized service to everyone.

At ESI, we work with the integration of the body within a scientific framework (discoveries of neuroscience and psychotherapeutic bases of body functioning, somatization of traumas, listening to emotions, sexual dysfunctions, etc.) and combine this with the Hindu scientific-spiritualist vision of energy vortices (chakras) and the Taoist vision of energy flow through meridians, forming a complete system that interconnects and provides a range of tools to work with each client according to their individual needs, respecting subjectivity.

A Embodied Sexuality Integration Therapist can work with clients in person and remotely, with or without touch, with or without nudity, with or without genital contact, fully respecting the limits of each client and working gradually according to each person’s intentions.

TIESC

Key features of the ESI therapeutic process

Present-oriented

We begin with what the client feels today and look to the future. Conventional therapy focuses on the past. A TIESC therapist focuses on what is wrong now and how to guide the client to make things work better tomorrow.

Client-centered

He guides the process and its speed. He is also responsible for its development through his daily practices.

It is a dynamic process

The sessions are interactive and creative, where therapists offer suggestions and advice.

Cocreated sessions

It’s a more collaborative than hierarchical process. Both the therapist and the client are equal parts of a team. The client doesn’t depend on the therapist; from the first session, they are encouraged to believe that “I can do this alone.”

It is not pathologizing

ESI therapists do not give diagnoses; we simply work on reframing and healing through the physical, emotional, and spiritual spectrum, without categorizing or defining as good, bad, or shameful..

Cognitive-behavioral and psychodramatic approach with esoteric aspects.

We use psychotherapy tools, scientifically based body practices, as well as movement and energy release techniques.

It's about individual education

Far more than simply placing the participant in some pre-defined therapeutic program, the entire process is designed in a personalized way, respecting the subjectivity of each person.

It allows for some flexibility in the duration and frequency of the process

We work with therapeutic journeys that have a beginning, middle, and end, and can be renewed by the participant.

Value consent

Consent is deeply intertwined with integrity, commitment, and respect for the autonomy of the participant. Therefore, consent is the foundation of ESI’s work and is taught and practiced from the very first day.
